Divina Jasso
Divina is a lifelong artist whose musical journey began at the age of four, when she first picked up an instrument—and she hasn’t stopped since. Her path has woven through a vibrant spectrum of genres, from Latin jazz and soul to reggae, hip hop, and R&B. With an eclectic sound that blends tradition and innovation, she brings a dynamic energy suited to any stage or setting.

Over the past few years, Divina has delved deeply into music production and live instrumentation, crafting intimate live-looping performances that are as sonically rich as they are emotionally engaging. For more than five years, she has served as a featured vocalist & percussionist for Mitchum Yacoub and front woman/lead vocalist of San Diego’s reggae/dub-hop collective Boostive captivating audiences at festivals and venues nationwide. Her performances have shared the stage with acclaimed artists including Lady Wray, Mereba, Macy Gray, Chancha Via Circuito, La Perla, Bonobo, Domi & JD Beck, Tokimonsta, Slightly Stoopid, Rawayana, Seun Kuti, Thievery Corporation, Lee “Scratch” Perry, Don Carlos, GZA, and many others.

Whether performing solo, as a duo, or with her full touring band, Divina is known for her professionalism, presence, and authentic connection to her audience. Her sound draws deep inspiration from many musical luminaries; tasteful production styles from J Dilla, D’Angelo, Juls, Mara TK, Al Dobson Jr., Inflo, Kaytranada, Georgia Anne Muldrow, Knxwledge and vocal lyricism & stylings from Erykah Badu, Sade, Mariah Carey, Bob Marley, Missy Elliott, Bahamadia, Cleo Sol, Helena Holleran & Lauryn Hill—just a few among the many across decades who have shaped her musical soul.
