Modest Mouse
Having recently completed another successful run with Pixies and Cat Power, Modest Mouse continues to prove themselves to be one of the most consistent live acts today. Modest Mouse released their highly anticipated new album, The Golden Casket, on June 25, 2021 via Epic Records. The Golden Casket heralds another new chapter in the GRAMMY® Award-nominated multi platinum band’s unpredictable evolution. Produced with Dave Sardy and Jacknife Lee in Los Angeles and in Modest Mouse’s studio in Portland, the album hovers in the liminal space between raw punk power and experimental studio science, frontman Isaac Brock explores themes ranging from the degradation of our psychic landscapes and invisible technology, to fatherhood. The twelve tracks behave like amorphous organisms, undergoing dramatic mutations and mood swings that speak to the chronic tug-of-war between hope and despair that plays out in Brock’s head.
Sun Atoms
Portland's Sun Atoms have quickly emerged as one of the most magnetic forces in contemporary psychedelic rock. Fresh off opening for The Flaming Lips and Yo La Tengo, at an appearance at Modest Mouse’s Psychic Salamander Festival, the band continues to support their bold second album  'Everything Forever', released via Little Cloud Records.

Blending psychedelic rock, post-punk, and cinematic soundscapes, Sun Atoms create a hypnotic, immersive live experience described as “blurring the line between concert and séance”. Their 2021 debut album 'Let There Be Light'—mixed by legendary producer Stephen Street (Blur, The Smiths, The Cranberries) with The Black Angels’ Alex Maas collaborating on the opening track—earned international acclaim.

Now their latest record 'Everything Forever' pushes even further into expansive, genre-defying territory. Mixed by Jagz Kooner (Massive Attack, Oasis, Primal Scream), the album stayed on the charts for four months in 2025 and features collaborations with Isaac Brock (Modest Mouse), Jasno Swarez (The Vandelles) and Lauren Andino (Tremours).

Produced by Peter G. Holmström (The Dandy Warhols, Pete International Airport), who also plays bass in the band, Sun Atoms is fronted by enigmatic vocalist Jsun Atoms (The Upsidedown, Daydream Machine). The lineup includes multi-instrumentalist June Kang, saxophonist-trumpeter-guitarist Mars de Ponte (LoveBomb Go-Go), drummer Eric Rubalcava (Rayon, Pastilla) and guitarist Derek Spencer Longoria-Gomez (Hi Hazel).

Crafted at Stone Circles Studios near the ancient Avebury Henge, Holmström and Kooner—fresh from work on The Dandy Warhols’ latest record—pushed the sonic envelope into deep space. Mastering was handled by Keith Tenniswood (Spiritualized, Death in Vegas) at Curve Pusher UK, adding the final polish to what many are calling the band’s magnum opus.

The album’s surreal lead single  'Narco Polo' features vocals from Isaac Brock and is accompanied by a psychedelic fever dream of a music video. Other standout tracks include the shimmering 'Ceiling Tiles', the Leonard Cohen tribute 'Tower of Song (in the key of JAMC)', and the driving 'Take This Love' with B-side 'And The Lion Saw The UFO'.

Sun Atoms’ live résumé continues to impress, with performances alongside Dinosaur Jr., The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Modest Mouse, Fishbone, LSD and The Search For God, The Veldt, Besnard Lakes, Elephant Stone, Asteroid #4 and more. They’ve also shared festival stages with Ty Segall, Built to Spill, Allah Las. A Place To Bury Strangers, Neko Case and Bratmobile, among others.

'Everything Forever' is out everywhere, including Apple Music, Spotify and Bandcamp. It can also be ordered on vinyl directly from Little Cloud Records.
